DRX Decompression Therapy

TRUE NON-SURGICAL SPINAL DECOMPRESSION SYSTEMâ„¢

In the past, patients suffering from disc problems may have been prescribed pain medications, instructed to refrain from physical activities, referred for physical therapy, and received injections. When they weren't progressing, they were sent for spinal surgery. Conservative chiropractic care proved very helpful in many cases, yet there have been some cases when surgery seemed to be the only other option — until now.

Today, you may not have to live with that pain anymore. The DRX9000 was developed to non-invasively treat neck and lower back pain resulting from herniated, bulging, or degenerative discs. The DRX9000 enables patients to return to more active lifestyles.

We are dedicated to improving the health and function of our patients. We combine traditional chiropractic care and physical therapy with modern technology to deliver an unprecedented level of service. Our commitment to offering the highest quality of care resulted in the addition of the DRX9000 True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System for the treatment of neck and back pain due to:
- Sciatica
- Herniated Discs/Bulging Discs
- Degenerative Disc Disease
- Posterior Facet Syndrome
- Numbness/Tingling in Arms

How does it work?
DRX9000 Spinal Decompression provides relief to severe neck and back pain sufferers by gently reducing the pressure within the spinal discs. The bones of the spine are slowly and methodically separated using the state-of-the-art DRX9000 Spinal Decompression Unit. As the vertebrae are separated, pressure is slowly reduced within the disc (intradiscal pressure) until a vacuum is formed. This vacuum "sucks" the gelatinous center of the disc back inside thereby reducing the disc bulge or disc herniation. Significant disc bulge reduction removes pressure off the spinal nerves and drastically reduces pain and disability. This "sucking" vacuum also pulls much-needed oxygen, nutrients and fluid into injured and degenerated discs, allowing the healing to begin. Please see our video for more details.

How do I get started?
Contact our office to schedule an initial consultation to determine if you are a candidate for care with the DRX9000. After carefully studying your case history and exam findings, we will explain our recommended plan of action. Remember that the DRX9000 is not intended for everyone who has neck or low back pain. After answering any questions about the recommended plan, and if you meet specific criteria, you may begin your care with the DRX9000. X-rays and an MRI of the affected areas are needed before considering the decompression therapy.
